Tuta mail is good. You need email to register in ProtonMail (this looks weird). In Tuta you can register new email without any problems.

How are you using protonmail with thunderbird?
I was under the impression that POP or IMAP protocols are not compatible with proton or tuta because of the e2e encryption??

@B2F Paid Proton users can connect to desktop Thunderbird (not Android), using their bridge to connect: https://proton.me/support/protonmail-bridge-clients-windows-thunderbird
