Truth! A potato left in the dark for months, in a plastic bag, grew roots and pierced the bag. I was amused, so I took the plastic bag and hung it up to dangle, by my lamp. Weeks later, this thing was showing no signs of dying, and had dropped even longer roots through the plastic.

I knew I had a real survivor. So to honor its tenacity, I buried it at the foothills of Palo Alto, at Rancho Verde park, by a stream bed in 2004. It must be a grand network of potatoes by now. Respect! 🫡

@nazokiyoubinbou @piquant00, they're clearly demanding that they be planted in your back garden. I recommend granting them that.
