@maikel language is fine, even if I don't like it. So long as you don't REALLY think that guillotines are going to solve our problems. I'm worried sometimes that parts of the left use this language to express their feelings, but then it winds up being a serious thing as people get used to it. @alter_kaker if surgical violence of billionaires was possible (that is: without it degrading into a carnage of people killing other people) then I'd be happy with it, I'm not gonna lie.

@thomasfuchs I mean, on the consumer products side, Shark|Ninja keep making new stuff that isn't IoT garbage. Not even a way to update a firmware.

It's 90s grade black plastic crap, in an era where that's extravagant. Nothing heirloom but nothing that can be suddenly disabled by a server or extort me for Ninja+. Just cooks my pizza gud.

They recently made a home slushie machine, and a soda machine. The soda machine uses ISO standard bottles and will operate without the syrup cartridges if they ever became too expensive or were no longer manufactured. I actually used a sodastream Pepsi syrup with it tonight. (Sodastream uses a proprietary bottle for their Co2)
