Russian troops hit the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission three times.

After the first strike, Baku decided that it could have been an accident and gave Moscow the exact coordinates of the embassy, consular section and cultural center.

However, two more strikes followed. Aliyev called it a deliberate attack on diplomatic facilities.

The Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan was handed a note of protest.
