Seen in Edinburgh:
The Barnton Nuclear Bunker in Corstorphine Hill, Edinburgh is by far my MOST interesting find in this city. Its current situation, which is far from a perfect facsimile of what it used to be, added some layered wonders. Developed in early 1940s as a Raf operations room, it later expanded into a three-storey bunker reinforced by concrete and steel. It has been hidden for most of its history* until peace activists exposed it in 1963. It was decommissioned a few years after, then caught fire in early 90s before turning into a warehouse for unwanted objects. It was not until it was picked up by volunteer historians when the bunker was cleaned and set up to what you see in the pics.
Also found out from the tour guide that Fallout filmed here two weeks ago!
*hidden, but it was reported later that USSR had photos of it back in the 40s

If the UK was attacked with nuclear weapons during WW2, this is what people would have heard on the radio. What you are hearing is a recording of the original record (that sounds syntactically confusing
but you get what i mean) -
