    Two minutes of zen.

    (An old video of a kinetic artwork that partner made during the pandemic lockdowns, found while installing the new phone.)

    @vicgrinberg That's great!! What is the mechanism that changes and reverses the speed of each rotator?

    EDIT: I read what you posted above about it.

      @vicgrinberg
      Beautiful!

      It's soo much more than something similar as a computer animation.

      EDIT: Still haven't figured it out how it works. No motors, but eccentric weights? a spring?
      Very ingenious.

      @nan_ano here another guy who did something similar and describes it in more detail - hope this helps! So yes a spring and gradual release: https://www.instructables.com/Spinning-Kinetic-Sculpture-RGB/

        @aarbrk thank you! It's really an ingenious mechanism, purely mechanical (though if I remember correctly the spring was actually rather expensive, but it works great!).

                    aaah, yes, thank you! 👍

                    Some careful observation did bring me quite close then...🤨

                    Nice!

                    EDIT: after watching the videos I must say that I like you(partners) version way more. The slow movement without "disco-light" is much more appealing. Well done!
