Not to throw mud at your hard work, but has anyone thought of how your country prevents that same support from outside your borders? The reason why I ask is here we are experiencing a lot of right wing US money (and heavy social media influence) coming across our border into Canada.

Indeed it is a crimes and there should be severe penalties.
Our government's investigations proved over the past several years * election/political interference has been coming from the US, Russia, India and China. It explains the discontent between provinces and the federal government.

* Many of us noticed signs of interference far longer than the past few years.
