Ce soir, retour une dernière fois en janvier 2006 où j'explorais les chemins de fer danois dans la région de la capitale. 1. et 2. Un autorail "Lynette" de la "Helsingør-Hornbæk-Gilleleje Banen" arrive de Gilleleje et passe devant le célèbre château (dont une tour est un phare par ailleurs) qui a inspiré Shakespeare pour son Hamlet. Après un parcours en voirie, le train arrive à un quai situé sur le côté de la gare. Photos prises à Helsingør.Un petit mot sur "Lynette" : Lyn = éclair en danois et est une catégorie de trains à longue distance - IC Lyn - et était le nom de rames diesel et c'est donc un clin d'oeil d'avoir appelé ces petits autorails pour dessertes très locales "petits éclairs". Ces petits autorails étaient présent sur toutes les lignes locales privées du Danemark jusqu'il y a peu. Elles sont techniquement assez proches des "Schienenbus" allemand, ce qui est assez logique puisqu'ils ont été construits par la firme "Uerdingen". Leur nom officiel est "Y-Tog" (train Y). 3. et 4. En 2006, l'essentiel du trafic IC et IC Lyn était assuré par les autorails diesel IC/3 et les automotrices électriques IR/4. Il n'était pas rare de voir des combinaisons mélangeant les deux, chose inédite à ma connaissance. Elles possèdent le nez "danois" qui inspirera notamment la SNCB pour ses AM96. L'avantage : le poste de conduite est amovible et permet ainsi le passage entre deux rames. Le boudin en caoutchouc autour de la face avant est gonflé d'air pour une étanchéité maximale. Photos taken in Helsingør.A quick word about "Lynette": Lyn = lightning in Danish and is a category of long distance trains - IC Lyn - and was the name of ancient diesel trains and so it is a wink to have called these small railcars for very local services "little lightning". These small railcars were present on all private local lines in Denmark until recently. They are technically quite close to the German "Schienenbus", which is quite logical since they were built by manufacturer "Uerdingen". Their official name is "Y-Tog" (Y train). 3. and 4. In 2006, most IC and IC Lyn services were handled by IC/3 diesel DMUs and IR/4 EMUs. It was not uncommon to see combinations mixing the two types, something unique to my knowledge. They have the "Danish" nose which inspired SNCB/NMBS for its AM96 EMUs. The advantage: the driving pult can be moved to the side allowing passengers and staff to go from one unit to the another. The black rubber ring around the face is inflated to ensure a maximum of waterproofing .
