The good news is the reducing migration to net zero would have (initially) a positive impact on wages, as it would likely prompt greater competition for workers....
the not so good news, is that unless birth rates pick up, net zero migration will compound an ageing population to shift the balance between those working & those being 'supported' & likely reduce the UK's level of economic activity (measured by GDP).
Yet more political myopia from the right?
