@inthehands I have always wanted to be purple like Prince. At times I just about achieved it. But now is when we really need The Revolution.

When he was very young, my son walked into a room where I was feeling pretty low and said:
"Daddy, you look like a man with no wheels on his car at all."
It made me laugh and feel better right away.

@inthehands When our family started getting into whitewater kayaking, we went to a river somewhere with about 50 people. There were other beginners there, too.
One of them, an older woman, talked about how she was afraid. Our 6yo looked her in the eyes and told her earnestly:
"In the white water, you've got to be brave."
She tells me she's been remembering these words as a sort of talisman while paddling for the past decade.

@inthehands when she first started to talk properly, my youngest would sit down in front of people and point at them with her index finger. Slowly she moved it towards them until she was depressing the bulb of their nose. Then she’d shout, with obvious joy, “Nazi!”
The best mispronunciation of the German word for nose,,“Nase”, I’ve ever heard.
