@heidilifeldman is ICE planning a genocide or mining crypto? Whatever the plan is, I’m fucking pissed that my tax dollars are being misused like this. So much for “DOGE” and “RAGE” eh? Elon is such a fucking pussy, giving up not only on EVs, but on limited government too, now that the Gesloppo is in charge. The one proposed for Shakopee MN is getting community pushback, including from the state rep, and the property owner says both of their buildings are still available on the market (i.e. not under contract to ICE or anyone else).

The Hanover County VA (Ashland, in the article) government voted against it and published its response letter here: https://www.hanovercounty.gov/m/newsflash/Home/Detail/1074
Hopefully the owners won’t sell to DHS.
A member of Richmond Defensa spoke at the meeting and specifically named the current owners; alas, I didn’t record his comments, and my memory isn’t that good. -

Feds may be able to ignore zoning.. But can Shakopee/Scott County/Met Council pass rules which would prevent the hooking the sewer/water/electric service needed for 1500 people to a rando warehouse property? Refuse to widen roads? -

The more I think about this, the more I think organizing an ongoing protest would be fairly easy to do, and could add in many of the visitors to the area.
It's not that far from the parks, and right off of the Beeline for anyone going from Orlando to the eastern beaches.
It's not like their freaking Alcatraz, this is right near all the tourist destinations.
And freaking Daniel Webster... I thought we'd gotten rid of him.
