@andrewstroehlein They know appeasement does not work, but before Trump was still constrained in ways Hitler and Putin never were - they have to treat Trump as aberration. Considering their difficult position in that they are far too attached to the US they are doing what they can.

@andrewstroehlein I seriously think that he touted the idea of swapping Greenland for parts of Ukraine with Putin and this plan required Putin to take Greenland, hence the numerous overt warnings that Greenland is vulnerable to Russia, but Putin isn't honouring his part of the plan despite Trump's desperate 'subtleties'. In other words Putin again made the orange numbskull look even more of an idiot, and Zelensky will get the blame for it... again.

@andrewstroehlein Whether there is open conflict or not trust in the US is now gone and a new world order is in the process of being arranged. Carney has spoken of it openly. Europeans are preparing for it quietly, largely because they're already engaged in defending Ukraine and biding their time. Some Americans get it

The only thing that actually works is a people's movement that rebuilds from the ashes. The bit in between is what always gets recorded by the victorious, hence the anarchists and radicals written out of the history of Europe after WW2

@aapis @andrewstroehlein @Lazarou I would argue that, for example, post-WW2 European reconstruction has been thwarted by USA and CCCP interventionism; those who survived were forced to choose West or East and live or die accordingly.Now the the Putin/Trump 'colloquy' is 'exposed', then perhaps the 'European Experiment' has a chance to flourish...
