The Christmas trifle takes five days to build. Today is day one. In honour of our trip to Portugal, I've replaced the usual sherry with a tawny port, along with black cherry jelly. Stay tuned for day two, I'm thinking pears and peaches for the next layer.

Day 2: Pears and Orange
Once I got the pear layer in there was no room for peaches so it's orange jelly and pear halves.
