There is someone on his staff -- probably multiple people -- who get paid to tell him not to say thatHad the guy I was speechwriting for ever slipped in something even *one tenth* as awful as that, I would have fired myself
And not just because it would have woken me up to who/what I was working for, but also because I would have considered myself a failure at my job

I remember the closing lines of the NYT piece on the same subject:At the end of the interview, [Benioff] turned to a public relations executive. He could be heard asking why her mouth was wide open and if he had said anything he shouldn’t have.
