@Trilobyter Wow ! Just look at the detail on those gravestones in the foreground ! Thanks for the high-resolution photo.

@Trilobyter Amazing photo of an amazing church! My brother got married there in 2019, so I got to visit it myself. It's surprisingly small inside, and quite dark as well, though the last part might not be a surprise

@noexec we were there in early June & it was cloudy & raining when we arrived so it was especially dark inside, but it started to clear up just as we were leaving which is when I took this shot, the wet roof was lit up nicely by the brighter skies above.

@jackcole no it has a very dim interior, I think I’ve posted this photo on here before but it shows the interior (& the beautiful doorway surround carvings).

@Trilobyter a weather that suits the church, I think. We were there in mid-August, and it was overcast so the light was a little flat.
Thanks for sharing, it brings back fond memories!

@Trilobyter I love that the alt text is both a) fully descriptive, with as much detail as a reader can reasonably take in, and b) completely unable to convey the visual impact of the building. An example of when a picture really is worth a thousand words.

@nealeg well I tried
but your point is well taken. I see now I could have improved it somewhat by adding words about “roof shingles that look like wet, black dragon scales”. -
