Time to choose the heart for my upcoming home NAS.
I've been eyeing those 12TB-16TB Seagate Exos, but the "Enterprise vs NAS-specific" debate is real. One is a loud tank, the other is a relatively quiet reliable workhorse.
If you were building a 4-bay setup today, what would you trust your data to? Reliability is key, but noise levels are... a thing. I'm thinking about Exos since they're pretty reliable and cheaper.

@dima I have 4x 8TB Exos drives (waiting for new drives tomorrow), and I have 0 issues. Can't complain really.

@dima@dol.social My next NAS will be powered by Toshiba's MG09 series, my current one has two MG08. But I'm still hoping for better prices
