@tg9541 I recently ran across a modern Albanian painter represented near Bologna... His name completely escapes me this morning but I will post something eventually. His work self-consciously picks up many of the themes of futurism and mechanical cubism. Like jet engines and Annie Riefenstahl, we are left to reckon with the ruins of evil which have become part of ourselves. I can't unsee it. But I can't allow it to be unannotated. It gets right at subjectivity, doesn't it?

@Tarnport Be kind to yourself. This is indeed nothing to deal with in an instant. What struck me months ago is how the verve of Futurism compares to the empty promises of so called "generative AI".
The historical and metaphysical analogies frighten me.
