    Which #MusicStreaming service are you on? Is anyone else looking at options these days?

      @hpod16 tidal for streaming, but I'm also making more of an effort to purchase regularly.

      Tidal has been great overall, no major complaints. Have been on for over a year now, i think. They consistently get ranked among the top 2 for artist payouts, and catalog is perfectly comparable to the other services. UI is very similar to Spotify. I have a few minor grumbles but truly minor.

      Even when I purchase, I almost always stream from tidal when listening, unless it is something unavailable there. So purchasing via Bandcamp or physical is primarily to directly support the artist. I've learned it's better to be honest with myself in this respect: tidal is for function, and that's fine. Purchasing is for values, in a way, and the two can coexist just fine as long as I don't over think it!

        @hpod16 None. Downloads bought from Bandcamp on a NAS in the house. And I listen a lot to the radio. Not that I condemn those who stream, mine is an expensive solution.

          @hpod16
          I just switched from Spotify to Qobuz (4 Months ago) because they pay the most per stream.
          I'm quite happy with it.
          Tidal is great, too. They installed #UserCentricPayment. That means your money goes only to the artists you listened to.

            @karlos
            So, no music on the go?
            Or a collection of MP3 files saved to your device?

            @hpod16 @karlos Same. No streaming. Got some music on the phone. And the collection at home on the NAS. I can VPN back home and listen from anywhere

              @hpod16 I ditched spotify a couple weeks ago. Thought it would be hard but (for me personally) wasn't at all.
              I now simply find& buy new Stuff at #bandcamp. Helps that I'm mostly into all kinds of indie music. For the more Mainstream Stuff thats not on bandcamp I still contemplate about using #qobuz to buy the songs. And while still contemplating I sometimes put my pirate hat on...

                    @hpod16 I am old enough to have a decent CD collection, that I digitized and stream from Nextcloud via Ampache.

                    I buy mostly used CDs or I buy MP3s at Bandcamp Qobuz.

                    I had a Spotify account, but I didn't like the way I listened to music there. It was like listening to radio. So I deleted the account and sticked to my own collection.

                    I discover new music on the radio (DLF Nova), Bandcamp, YouTube or arteTV.

                    How much music does one person need? Every radio station has various music-only web streams… I think, if I didn't have my collection, I'd try using these streams.
