Deleted and reposted this. Someone was having a difficult day. Looking through their profile, there are lots of replies to posts that have been deleted. Doesn't seem like the worst person in the world, can just be a selective dink now and then.

@Pikestreet Sometimes I just wonder if their tongues go numb or something because they'll just sit there like that as if they have no idea that they're doing it for no apparent reason whatsoever...

@nazokiyoubinbou I've had a couple of cats that did this quite often. Cheese will do this at least once a week. It seems particular to individuals. That's just in my limited experience of course.

@Pikestreet Many do seem to do it at some time or other. I can't figure out what possible rhyme or reason there might be to it...
