Recently I got back into #Rimworld.

Recently I got back into #Rimworld. While I love the game, the DLCs sound unappealing to me, overcomplicating an already complex game.

If I buy one, which one should it be and why? What are your features you can't play without?

@bezekium I have biotech, gravships, ideology, skipped royalty.

I really love ideology because it brings variety in roleplay. You can play the darkness-loving tunnelers who hate being outside in the daytime, or the cowboy ranchers who venerate sheep and cuddle trees. It never gets boring, especially with community-modded ideologies.

With biotech, you can make the tunnelers properly blind, or the cowboys firebreathing. Or create a race of winged dragons. Also, robots who do the cleaning!

Both add-ons together work really well, roleplay wise. I wouldn't want to miss either one.

The gravship addon makes rimworld a completely different game because you can have a mobile base and it adds space. Great addon, buy when you get bored of the main game.

@bezekium yep, that would be odyssey. In the case that the DLCs sounds too expensive, though: there's a lot of content and quality of life to be had from mods, too. So if you haven't done so already, that's also worth a look, or two, since there's so many!

@lizzard the DLCs are somewhat expensive, especially, since there are five and they are never highly discounted. Then again, Rimworld is a game I love and put a lot of hours into. I think I will go for Biotech, Odyssey and Ideology in the next sale
