Thank you to Steve Bannon for giving away the game:
Step 1: Show the people that ICE can kill anybody.
Step 2: Have ICE show up at polling stations in areas where people vote against Trump, so those neighborhoods do not go vote.
@randahl So scarry, and #Republicans let that happen ?
Army at polling stations = #dictatorship.
UN can send their peace keepers if they want, much better than ICE. -
@randahl@mastodon.social Step 3: to ensure sufficient turnout, visit people at home to "help" them vote. Use rifles to ensure they don't accidentally vote the "wrong" way.
Like big daddy #Putin did in Donetsk. That's what #Trump wants.@divVerent I'm Romanian and in my country we have some pretty wild ways to fraud an election. But this is amazing even to me.

if ever there was a cancerous person, it is Bannon.

@randahl The USA are no democracy anymore. Thanks to billionairs, Trump and fascist MAGAs.
The USA never were a democracy, although they made a pretty convincing cosplayer some of the time.

So Bannon wants to get the idea of ICE being present at polling stations into the public consciousness. The fact he chose to be the person to say it suggests his influence really has tanked even in MAGA circles. To make it happen would be a declaration of civil war…I suspect this is more about stoking the fear to get same outcome without the smoking gun.

@randahl he also admits: his definition of stealing is voting against GOP. This is the classic redifining of words, changing their meaning to ride a narrative and mass manipulate. Once this works, they can say "the sky is purple" and no one will oppose. They can say "good is bad, and bad is good", and no one will oppose.

Indeed. A blind man can see where this is going…

Everyone not in denial has understood this to be one of their key goals.

@randahl He's not giving away the game, this statement itself is voter suppression. Journalists and influencers amplifying this message are helping him scare people into not voting in November.
For the rest of the game, watch what #TulsiGabbard is doing. Gerry-mandering and voter suppression might not be enough this time, they're preparing to seize the ballots and voting machines under bogus national security pretenses and prevent certification of the vote by the states.
@dmitry @randahl@mastodon.social
The point is that they ultimately don't care if people vote

3. Make a picture of each voter and verify if they are Republican or Democrat. If it's a democrat, beat him

@JugglingWithEggs ”would be a declaration of civil war”
What do you think the US is having now, then? How many times can you move the red line?

@ricardoharvin Bullshit. If they really didn't, they wouldn't be pouring so much money and effort into making it harder to vote.
-
@randahl It's also important to note that if you have the option available to you, you can vote by mail. BUT, the post office is delaying postmarks by several days so if you vote by mail, get it into the mail as soon as possible. If you wait until near the deadline it will likely not get postmarked in time and your vote will not be accepted. So mail in your vote EARLY.
@MichaelMcWilliams mail bags can be (and in the past have been) vanished. 70 million ppl showing up for votes are visible. No one can deny they have been there, no one can believe the stolen election with visible ppl. Mail vote is better but nothing, but far from safe. You need to stand up, show up, speak up, vote. Make it visible, give proof. @randahl

@dmitry I agree 100% - spreading evey "news" of GOP & the Felon 47, helps them spreading the news & amplifiying. BUT: ppl will find the "news" them selves as well, stumble upon it & are alone with it, if not discussed & talked about. At least, as a community we can talk about it, shed light from multiple angles & view points on it, so ppl are not alone & dare to think outside of the box GOP is giving them. I am all for not giving clicks to support them aka clicking certain movie links. @randahl

@randahl
ICE doesn't have that many people.Also, Minnesota had a special election with ICE oppressing them and scaring people from going out in public. They voted in spite of it.

They can't do the whole country, but they don't need to, they just need to do certain districts. This is about holding on to a razor majority in congress.
And you have to remember, states like Texas with Greg "the fucker" Abbott are going to be gleeful little helpers in making this happen.
I don't want to demoralize people from voting, but we have to be prepared for the real possibility of it being stolen.

As pointed by Devereaux, Bouie and probably many others, they don't have enough goons to do that, and by far.
And as shown by Minneapolis, if they try that in some voting places (which is the maximum their numbers can allow), getting their behavior on camera won't bring them good results overall.I'm not saying that they won't try it, but they can't pull it out with the current political equilibrium.

Sure, and money is not a problem, since Greg Brockman (co-founder and director of OpenAI donated 25 million dollars to Maga Inc.
