The foxes in my back garden really want to play with my cats.

    My cats are not interested.

The large male cat (pictured) just ignores them. But my tiny female cat will chase an enormous fox out of the front garden, which is cat territory only.

@rufustheduck Evidence that foxes are more like puppies than kitties

@stephaniepixie you're absolutely right. They even invite play like dogs - lots of fainting forwards and keeping their heads low. My cats are not impressed

@rufustheduck I guess even foxes need to feel accepted.

@rufustheduck I once heard foxes described as cat software installed in dog hardware.

@lakelady this is a perfect description. The number of times I've watched a fox jump onto a fence, only to realise it's not a cat and fall off again....

@rufustheduck Friends in Switzerland have reported several cases where foxes killed domestic cats.
House cats tend to be very trusting, and foxes seem to take advantage of that.
Please keep this in mind, just to be safe.
Hearing a fox attacking a cat is unbearable.
