Industrial #ArtDeco, at its finest! This abandoned powerplant plant control room in Hungary was powered down decades ago.
The oval room is lit by an immense skylight, which casts dramatic light across the original green metal control panels. These walls remain lined with levers, valves, and dials.
Without a doubt, one of my favourite adventures. I have visited three times now!

@ObsidianUrbex That's a beautiful photograph!
The acoustics in that room must be interesting, too. -
@ObsidianUrbex beautiful!
@mergy
Thanks so much

-
@ObsidianUrbex I love how peaceful and still places like this can be. This looks like a serene room to stand inside.
@maddiefuzz oh it really is, almost feels like a cathedral
-
@ObsidianUrbex wow. I may have seen other pictures of this place. It must be so exciting getting to explore these places. I’d love to know how folks go about finding and exploring, but I’m guessing there’s some…considerations and yeah….
@JebelKrong
Aye, it's a relatively well known spot, and I have certainly posted it before. One of my favourites
I love exploring lost places, it's been 10 years now and these adventures are some of my favourite memories

-
How did you ever leave!!

@megatronicthronbanks
It's always so hard 🥺 -
@ObsidianUrbex @seachanger the walls look angled in, not vertical. Is this real, or a lens effect?
@deborahh @seachanger
The lens is tilted slightly up to create leading lines up to the core of the skylight (and to get it all in shot)
-
@ObsidianUrbex Stunning. I would be happy to live out my days in there.
@retech
Hehe same

@matt
Aye it's an amazing place! It's definitely paint, this kind of green is common in old powerplants on panels and consoles
