@Enema_Cowboy @BrianJopek @futurebird My first thought, too. But I first read the passage thirty plus years ago, so the point has settled regardless of its scientific accuracy heh

#CatsCradle@BrianJopek This is 100% garbage and yet it keeps circulating. That is the true lesson here.

Oh, this from Vonnegut.
#CatsCradle@BrianJopek Not sure that is accurate anymore... its more like the red ants listen to the person holding the jar (i.e., billionaires) who tell them that it is ok and acceptable to be an asshole because the black ants are inferior to you in every way and should be exterminated or moved to a smaller, less comfortable jar that they also control. Then the media and people with cognitive disorders (more heart than brains) tell you to be kind to the red ants because they are victims too and you should be protesting against the jar and not the red ants or the person holding the jar....

#CatsCradle@BrianJopek In case anyone is in danger of believing it: Vonnegut did not write these words.

I've read the biography "The Brothers Vonnegut" and every Kurt Vonnegut story I could get my hands on. He was an amazing man. -
@BrianJopek In case anyone is in danger of believing it: Vonnegut did not write these words.
Also: Ants do not behave in this way (I consulted with an expert on ants about this question).
It's still an excellent analogy to society.
