Ugh, so my business email seems to be giving bogus errors to only some of the folks who are trying to email me...

“____email___ is not authorized to relay messages through the server that reported this error.”
Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening only to a select number of senders trying to reach me and not when I test the account myself from multiple send points?
Pls halp.
@britt Who's the email provider?

@Alison My business email is a domain email, so not through any of those. I seem to be having issues with anyone emailing me from another domain email... Gmail, Outlook, etc, come through no problem.

@britt Who's the provider on your side?

@britt Is it at all consistent? I had that two weeks ago with a client who had dealt with this person many times before but now the email wouldn't come through. Had it checked out where I have my hosting and their host had blocked our whole server because of one person sending spam.

@Alison oooo interesting. I'll look into it. It seems like only two folks are having the issue who have emailed me but it happened in Dec too.

@britt if the rejection is happening on your email hosts’ end, you may be able to request a log to find the reason of the rejection.
Or it could be that your service provider is blocklisted somewhere preventing them of delivering emails to you. You can check if your domain is blocklisted here https://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

@britt If that is the case your host has to apply to their host a why you blocking request and promise to deal with whoever is being naughty.
