Trump is now implying that Canada is dependent on the USA acquiring Greenland in order for it to gain “protection” under the “golden dome”.

It is time for Canada to end its participation in the Golden Dome and NORAD until the USA once again becomes a trustworthy global nation.

We cannot be dragged into complicity with international crimes.

It is time for Canadians to have a very very deep discussion about our military, our own expectations, and our neighbour. The days of “the longest unguarded border” are gone.

We need to consider a much more European stance. A much more Ukrainian stance.

Addendum: and the first thing we need to do to shore up our own borders, is have a long talk with Alberta about ending this separation talk and coming together as Canadians. #canpoli #cdnpoli #usa #nato #norad #russiaUkraineWar #theAmericanFascist

@chris I’ve spoken about how I feel Canada should go all in on European SAFE, including purchasing of military items, instead of from USA. I’ve also been vocal how I feel NATO is in trouble and how we should also get out of NORAD. People worry about Russia in the future. But they are weak now, help Ukraine now to end Putin then the Golden Dome and norad won’t be required.
But USA wants the Dome and conflicts to keep their military empire strong.. (1/2)

Not only Alberta is causing Canada issues, there’s Quebec and the traitors of the PC party. It’s all about short term power for them, not long term prosperity. (2/2)

@Dero_10 separatism is not on the political table in Québec. There is strong support to stay in Canada and I would expect that to increase as threats by the USA increase. Same goes for Alberta once Smith is kicked out of power I think.

@chris many Norwegians were somewhat annoyed that our military sent a grand total of two – 2 – people to Greenland. But we did apparently send a message to president Orange since he is threatening tariffs, so I suppose we got a lot of bang for the buck..

@Dero_10 @chris I'm not an expert on Quebec politics but what I do know is that there is severe dissatisfaction with the two parties that are not the PQ and that an election win for the PQ is simply parking votes somewhere that doesnt anger them. Recent polls also tell us that 66% of Quebecois have zero interest in holding another referendum. The real seperatist problem is Alberta and that's because of continuing foreign interference.

@Dero_10 @chris The only military option for Canada is a substantial multinational European protection force with a lot of boots on the ground. Canada on its own has zero military options, so let's please dispense with those fantasies. You need to make it expensive for the US to annex Canada.

@Dero_10 @chris Voting for the PQ doesn’t necessarily mean you want Quebec to separate anymore. They’re two different issues. The PQ will probably win because of people dissatisfaction with the other two main options, but there is absolutely no movement towards separation right now—except in the PQ leader’s head. Any referendum would fail, and not by a thin margin.

@chris Most of the EU borders are unguarded. In fact, in some places you cross the street and you're in another country!

Addendum: and the first thing we need to do to shore up our own borders, is have a long talk with Alberta about ending this separation talk and coming together as Canadians. #canpoli #cdnpoli #usa #nato #norad #russiaUkraineWar #theAmericanFascist

@chris The issue with Alberta is that it’s saddled with a government *of* the talk radio and Facebook conspiracy theorists, *by* the talk radio and Facebook conspiracy theorists, *for* the talk radio and Facebook conspiracy theorists.

@Beltliner403 ain’t that the truth. An election cannot come soon enough, even if it isn’t guaranteed the NDP will pull it off
