i keep trying to post things, but then this nonsense pops up, over & over. It happens more frequently than I would expect, but tonight has been fucking haywire.
i can't post or view, and these things just flood the left side of my screen. does this have to do w/ the particular instance of #mastodon I'm on? it has been going nuts tonight

I had that problem in the beginning.
Then I learned that I should have so many tabs open with my Mastodon instance, and the problem pretty much stopped.
Do you perhaps have multiple tabs with Mastodon open in your browsers?

Could be a more strict rate limiting of the instance or high activity in the background tasks of the server.
I would close all tabs related to your account wait 30min and then open only one tab again.
