Buster is a good boy, but he's a stinky boy.

Buster is a good boy, but he's a stinky boy. My clothes smell like dog, my house smells like, and my car smells like dog. The problem is, his dad was a Shiba Inu and he hates water and he hates being handled. Giving him a bath would be like giving a bath to a 35 pound (16kg) Cat, everyone involved would be upset. Even the groomer said she couldn't bathe him because he's too slippery and nervous.
How do I make Buster less stinky?

@koeschken Thanks for the reply, but that's not going to happen. He absolutely will not even step in puddle.

@Ambulocetus When he likes to play, look for a clean lake or river with comfortable water temperature. Take a favorable toy, which can swim. Throw it in, make a lot of fuss and then jump in yourself, swim to the toy and animate him to follow.
This helped my beloved Australian Shepherd to overcome his fear of water. He hat accidentally fallen down the fall of a little river as a baby.

@koeschken Thanks, I got him to go in the water once when there was another dog there to play with. Maybe I can try that, but the summer is long way off.
