Nothing to see here, just Angelenos shutting down the entire 101 Freeway through #LosAngeles.

The people of Minnesota are being absolutely heroic, but please remember that the only reason the national outlets were forced to cover the invasion there was the shooting of two white people. Everything that's going on in Minnesota is happening nationwide. Where the victims and crowds are not majority white, it's still ignored. LA pioneered a lot of the resistance tactics being use in Minnesota.

Protesters in LA did this a year ago and at first I thought this was old footage. It's not.
The point here is twofold: racism is still glaringly obvious in the media for what you *don't* see, and also: there is no city in the US that will not shut the place down to stop the Nazis.
This movement is entirely grassroots-- not only did we have none of the national leadership the South Koreans had, the media and social media oligarchs tried to suppress our organizing.

What's happening in Minnesota didn't randomly spring up from nowhere, like Aphrodite emerging from the sea full grown. Thousands of organizers and millions of protesters across the country have busted our asses for a year with every institution, all the elites, completely failing us.
The Minnesota uprising is a product of the wonderful people of Minneapolis, but also the ideas all the other cities came up with first, all the support shown by resistance groups in other states.

The US national outlets don't want to show you ANY of that, but they will show you the white people if forced-- hence, Portland and Minneapolis.
LA is doing everything Minneapolis is doing and came up with a lot of these tactics. Ditto for NYC, DC, Chicago, New Orleans, everywhere that's been attacked-- only those cities have more diverse crowds. We can't go celebrating their courage, now can we?
Follow and support the Minnesotans, just please don't forget all the others.

Trump and Miller did all these invasions in majority nonwhite cities first assuming people of color would respond violently. They never anticipated how much wisdom and restraint communities of color would show. They're too racist to even imagine such a thing. One provocation after another failed to produce the pretext the regime needed for a nationwide crackdown with the military.
They tried with what propaganda that could-- one Mexican American man standing on a Waymo was all Fox News...

This is why when people make a big fuss over the amazing work being done in MN, I often make a point to give credit to everyone across the country doing the work. I heard that in Charlotte they pretty much defeated the feds in short order. I’ve seen and heard wonderful, selfless stories from all over (Chicago has a special place in my heart). It’s not a competition, it’s community. Groups are learning from each other and adding their own special sauce.

...would show for days. But their strategy has completely failed.
Their cronies in national media still don't want to show you diverse crowds of peaceful but disruptive protesters bravely standing up to tyranny.
But that is reality across the US.

Yes! That's exactly right. I keep repeating the point because you have to be heavily involved in the movement to know this stuff. Especially people in other countries, but also anybody who's just doomscrolling, they still aren't seeing the reality of the movement.A lot of these fools in Congress don't or won't. It's why they're still living in the 90s and 2000s and won't say "Abolish ICE" when it has become a *majority* opinion in the US, not just among their voters.
