    @Remittancegirl @401matthall @therobburgessshow

    It was probably nine months ago that I read an article talking about how Democratic leaders were trying to deemphasize the effectiveness of Pete Buttigieg. It was thought that Buttigieg was too effective and supporting him would make him the de facto leader of the Democratic party, giving him an advantage in 2028.

    I absolutely believe that Schumer's ineffectiveness is because he is seeking neutrality for 2028. How stupid can the guy be? How stupid can all of them be?

    If leadership wants to be neutral, then they should find a way to give everyone an opportunity to effectively communicate rather than seeking to silence them. Schumer is pathetic.

      @Remittancegirl

      Same. I don't think you are though.

      At some point, perhaps _way_ behind us already, complicity is the only explanation.

      @401matthall @Remittancegirl

      I refer us back to Epstein, and the files therein. So many people are compromised that they will do anything the blackmailers want, including destroying the entire planet, if it means keeping their dirty little secrets.

      Hiring Jan6 insurrectionists, giving them 47 days of training, handing them fully automatic weapons and complete autonomy to murder people, and then setting them loose on the streets of America just as the files were legally required drop is not a coincidence.

      The fact that the Dems aren't throwing sand into the machinery is not a coincidence.

      Our government is a Medusa's nest of vipers all trying to stay out of the Gorgon's gaze. They serve no political (politicus; of the people) purpose.

      As an aside, they should all be forced to wear nascar style uniforms with their sponsor badges arranged by size.

            He's almost certainly saying, "ICE out of Minnestota NOW or we'll send a _very_ sternly worded letter."

              I think Schumer, and _most_ of the Democratic leadership are out of their depth. The status quo is so wildly disrupted they're completely unequipped to handle it.

              I said this the other day to @Remittancegirl : We need war-time leadership. These clowns are peace-time leadership at best, and complicit grifters at worst.

              I want progressives leading the charge and the establishment Dems need to take their stock portfolios and retire.

                                    @401matthall @Remittancegirl Right, b/c if they did what we want them to, it inescapably means materially challenging white supremacism & capitalist empire. & that they will not countenance, to the point that they’d rather lose elections—to fascism, & climate doom—than that. Which they have, twice.

                                          @401matthall

                                          I don't think she's announced anything. Schumer is up for re-election in 2028. I can't imagine he'd run again, and I do think it is her seat for the taking.

                                          The only thing that might derail her is if Mamdani fails miserably. I believe that any successes that Mamdani has in NYC will
                                          give ALL progressive Democrats and progressive ideas a boost.

                                          And I don't think he is going to fail miserably. New Mexico just voted for universal daycare. These are policies that make sense and can be enacted.
