@benroyce I think by now, most people know and understand how "flooding the zone" works. What I really don't understand is how these things do not have consequences. Neither the corruption nor the child rape allegations. Why did things like this use to have consequences? What changed? I am honestly baffled, but I would like to understand.

who was forced to perform oral sex on President Trump approximately 35 years ago in NJ. The friend told Alexis that she was approximately 13-14 years old when this occurred, and the friend allegedly bit President Trump while performing oral sex. Having (and lying about) oral sex with a grown adult intern with some degree of "consent"* ended Bill Clinton's career. Yet Trump has raped underage girls and it barely seems to register against his other crimes.
* nb on "consent", this feels like the wrong word here. She was not forced and went along willingly, potentially even initiating it to some degree, but I don't believe it can be truly consensual with that much of a power imbalance.
