spectacular and mesmerizing

@vicgrinberg continuous spin plus friction dragged, weighted second disk?
(I love it, BTW! The wood is really nice, and the cut very well done, and the interplay of the movements and shapes works really well.)
@juandesant no, it's closer to what this guy does, so gradual release from a spring but the details I forgot by now: https://www.woodthatworks.com/

@vicgrinberg That's great!! What is the mechanism that changes and reverses the speed of each rotator?
EDIT: I read what you posted above about it.

@vicgrinberg
Beautiful!It's soo much more than something similar as a computer animation.
EDIT: Still haven't figured it out how it works. No motors, but eccentric weights? a spring?
Very ingenious.@nan_ano here another guy who did something similar and describes it in more detail - hope this helps! So yes a spring and gradual release: https://www.instructables.com/Spinning-Kinetic-Sculpture-RGB/

@aarbrk thank you! It's really an ingenious mechanism, purely mechanical (though if I remember correctly the spring was actually rather expensive, but it works great!).
