Premier of Greenland Jens-Frederik Nielsen writes on Facebook that "Enough is enough" and stresses that Greenland is a sovereign territory and (through Denmark) also a part of NATO — clearly hinting that an attack on Greenland would trigger NATO's article 5.
Does Trump really want a war with 31 NATO countries?

@randahl but Article 5 would not be triggered in this case and there are no clear guidelines as to what or how to handle one member state attacking another....

@randahl it refers to an attack from a non-NATO country/state not one NATO member attacking another, this would result in a political crisis that would possibly threaten the pact, and who might benefit from that? Not the EU that's for sure

@acesabe Which exact sentence in article 5 is it that you believe limits the defence of NATO to only respond to attacks from a non-NATO country?
