You know, I think we COULD use another calamity about now.
(And there is some reason to speculate that we are on the verge of another magnetic polarity switch, preceded by a "short" interval of no magnetic poles at all, or multiple wimpy poles. As if we didn't already have enough weirdness to twist our heads around!)
