Putin’s "3-day" war on Ukraine has now lasted longer than Russia fought Germany in either WWI or WWII.

He has spent more time utterly failing to subdue Ukraine than the USSR spent defeating the Wehrmacht.

The man is a laughing stock on history’s stage.

@Daojoan it's also lost an order of magnitude more people than the afghan war!

@Daojoan To fight Germany, USSR wasn't alone.
During WWI, communists negotiated with Germans to stop the war on their front.
And during WWII, they were massively helped by USA and UK.

@Angelina @Daojoan I mean, technically neither is Russia. The quantity of assistance is lower than it was during those world wars, but as the name implies, everyone was fighting everyone in those wars.

@Angelina @Daojoan And in this war, they are getting a lot of help from Iran, China, India, North Korea, and even some western companies.

@Daojoan Putin hasn't just been fighting Ukraine. He has been fighting US military intelligence, CIA, help from Poland, France, Germany and the UK. It's a proxy war. Ukraine on it's own would have been lost long ago.

@x41h @Daojoan Exactly. And I think it has been restrained; it hasn't attacked like they did in WW2, regardless of the number of casualties. It's so said that so many people have to die because of the ambitions of the powerful.

NATO also prepared for the Ukraine war at least since 2014

@elbci @Angelina @Daojoan NATO?? Nope, #Ukraine was not allowed to become a NATO member, remember. The West itself refused its access (otherwise Putin wouldn’t have attacked Ukraine). - Maybe #Ukraine prepared, and of right so, because it was always under Russian attack since 2014.

@absolutum_obsoletum @Daojoan the crazy thing about all of it if you read as many CIA, spy, espionage, etc books as me is that every global war/conflict can be attributed to power struggle between Russia and US. Especially in S America or Vietnam, Afghanistan, etc. Because of clandestine missions that neither side publicly speaks about. Both sides pushing ideological subversion to win influence. Russia is losing that front because they are such assholes to people. US aint no angel but who the hell would want Russia dominating global sphere of influence. Bunch of heartless, soulless evil regime fuckers.

@riswey @Daojoan The world does not believe russian propaganda about "Americans in Ukraine!", and the world is waiting for russia to back down and leave Ukraine.

If this is a burner account, reply to this with additional russian propaganda.

This war kind of makes it look like Ukraine was the major force that defeated the Wehrmacht.

@alienghic @Daojoan Author of the USSR's rocket program was Ukrainian, the best planes were designed in Ukraine, tractor/tank factories were there.
Ukraine was a real good capture to exploit by the russian empire.
Sure, they sucked dry smaller countries like the Baltic states, but the sheer size of Ukraine allowed to profit much more from it in manufacturing, brain power and military size.

He should be. Independent of that, I fear Putin might have the last laugh, thanks to some rather significant "outside help".

@Daojoan i doubt that was his long term aim all along... More like use it as a distraction to get his pedo buddy back in the white house to create more chaos and weaken NATO, all while the Dems didn't act decisively to find solutions on that or in Gaza, they were hoping that Russia will fail if war was prolonged and believing Americans still worshipped Israel as the strategy going into 2024, along with keeping a dead horse in the race for way way too long.

@Daojoan and americans, just like the last 12 wars, proxy conflicts, ethnic cleansings, and coups OPENLY caused by their own regime, are STILL ignoring that the US congressional record contains EVIDENCE of them discussing using Ukrainian blood in a proxy war against Russia. And the US shot down peace talks TWICE, and the US CIA was in Ukraine for decades before the coup that installed Zelensky.

The only way cold warriors like you can act like this is that you do ZERO research.

@Daojoan and all the talk of nazis and putin, which does not escape me whatsoever, is part of the new cold war 2.0 narrative that IGNORES THE ACTUAL WW2 NAZI BATTALION OPENLY OPERATING in Ukraine.

Meanwhile the US came into ww2 at the end, after 50 million people had been killed and most production systems in the western world were devastated, claimed victory, and ignored the sacrifice of their allies against nazis because the US is closer to nazis than any socialist idea, ever, anywhere.
