X offering the use of Grok to create and share pictures of undressed women and children is horrendous.
The EU Commission has already:
• taken investigative steps
• ordered the company to retain internal documents.X now has to fix its AI tool in the EU - and they have to do it quickly.
If not, we will not hesitate to take additional measures under the DSA.
@hennavirkkunen I think that if I post nudes of underage people on any place, consequences against me would happen in the moment, not in a non-specified future.
Why is the EU protecting X and Elon Musk when this is clearly an issue that should put him in jail?

@hennavirkkunen Erm, why wait for X to take actions?
If a normal citizen is violating a law, that person is not politely ask afterwards to change the previous behaviour, but will be punished by law.
Granted, maybe there is no law yet specifically for that issue, but it could be derived from violating basic human rights like Art. 1 GG of the German constitution.

@hennavirkkunen In other words, a huff of talk as vacuous as it is virtuous whilst and at the same time allowing Xitter and Elon’s pedopornbot to go on businessing as usual.
Slow handclap.

@hennavirkkunen
Agree totally.
But:
What about sharing pictures of undressed politicians and their families who support X.Mr Trump and his family undressed.
Peter Thiel and his family undressed.
Musk and his family undressed.
Zuckerberg and his family undressed.
Meloni undressed with Milei and other politicians undressed.
Putin undressed.
All shown on TikTok, Insta etc.Why don't we do with them what they do with us? Perhaps it's the only way to win them.
-
@veroandi @ilumium @janwlrvn @hennavirkkunen Because it's still her personal choice?
@OddDev @ilumium @janwlrvn @hennavirkkunen
I'm fine if it's really her and her decision; I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a fake profile. If it was on the Commission instance, it certainly wouldn't be someone impersonating her.

@IreneMoews Is the phrase "when they go low, we go high" familiar to you?
You don't fight illegal or immoral activity by repeating it. That just gives the impression that you would have wanted to do it all the time, and now when the bad people do it, you can finally do it, too.
Sorry.

@hennavirkkunen
As long as there is no notice on any official .EU account, I will treat this account like the mails from an african prince.
You know, those who offer you some millions in exchange for 1000€...@Robbe_Duesseldorf @hennavirkkunen
Account verification by domain is available. Let us hope this is just a bit of amateurism. IT should be taking care of this formally. That is what they are paid for.

AI or not, X remains a foul lawless hate-filled cesspit. Self respecting organisations still use it... Why? -

@hennavirkkunen I doubt that Europe takes any action anytime soon. Why is X still active in Europe?
-
@janwlrvn @ilumium @hennavirkkunen @EUCommission my guess is she's testing it out a bit. And .social is where you wind up if you try it out as a regular user without the IT folks involved.
The article says "only this evening did she register an account"
@leanderlindahl @janwlrvn @ilumium Not only that but this could also be an personal account – which would make it weird to start from the instance of the European Commission.

@hennavirkkunen We’re pleased to see the EVP for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy of the European Commission joining this European social‑media platform.
We need a safe space built on privacy‑by‑design, open‑source development, and an ad‑free model.
Let’s continue the conversation about Europe’s role in shaping future connectivity and the 6G era, and grow our community right here.
Let's achieve digital sovereignty now, together!
