When people say: "billionaires shouldn't exist" that isn't a call to violence.

When people say: "billionaires shouldn't exist" that isn't a call to violence. "Being a billionaire" isn't some inherent property in the way that say, skin color is.
Wealth taxation is a perfectly acceptable way of eliminating all billionaires. That doesn't mean billionaires stop being people, they just stop being billionaires.

@yosh I guess it's the same difference of interpretation when we say we want to eradicate the poor...

@yosh Nice article.
Then leave no room for interpretation, for example say "tax billionaires until they become mere millionaires".
I just read this book which relates jacobins to bolcheviks too, I recommend it: https://books.maxzor.eu/user/maxzor/comment/10910#anchor-10910

@yosh
Yes and no. People who accumulate that much wealth at the expense of others are not safe people. You need to have a very special level of self-centeredness and ruthless greed to make that kind of money in a single human lifetime. -

@yosh except every billionaire exploited potentially thousands of people to get that much money in horrible ways. there's simply no way to amass that much wealth without making other people suffer greatly. we can't just stop at taxing the rich, we also need to investigate them for their crimes against society and find out what they did to get so wealthy -

@yosh Exactly. Being a billionaire is an off the scale hoarding disorder - to the detriment of society.
