@Jam123 But in a way, it repeats the "Facebook effect", where all content, never mind how crazy or fake, looked equally neatly formatted, typographically correct and somehow... professional. It was such a big difference, compared to wild aesthetics of eg. older Geocities, which made even serious content look like collage by madman.

And in the same way: all stuff presented by AI looks neatly formatted, visually consistent... yes, only looks, but how many people really analyze it or compare it?

@hans_zelf @nomenloony @cyplo @vfrmedia If you managed to connect that, it would blow something, rapido. If there's no circuit breaker, my guess is the ring fuse and I've seen cases where the company fuse blows as well!

@drahardja even AI itself doesn't know, since it doesn't understand, conceptualize, think...

It just replicates and generates what, statistically most likely, matches the recipients expectation.

@hans_zelf @cyplo breakers operate quicker than fuses, so often the breaker will trip but the fuse will be fine. It's not the case if you've got an old BS-88 fusebox though with the rewireable fuses and wire.

I’ve been using it professionally for the last 6 weeks or so to “yolo” an app in work. Using Claude but I guess I’m spending 30-40% of my time cleaning up the code out generates.

@nomenloony This is a practical, physical analog of what is actively happening in the software space... with the full support and giddy encouragement of industry.

@nomenloony I work in a high school and have a wired plug with every mistake I could think of as a demo, "find the problems". It's kept in a locked box, and has the earth pin twisted so it can't easily be used, because it's fucking lethal.
This is somehow worse.
