@janl I don’t think Huang gets around enough to talk about mere normies. I think he’s referring to his loyal opposition inside Silicon Valley, the AI Doomers. Which want to build all the same things to control us normies, but are just afraid of Skynet.
@gimulnautti @janl this is a good point. IMHO, Skynet isn't in the cards for this generation of "AI", but there's still plenty of damage left for it to do.

As for the "IA" instead of "AI", it's already in the company's name and still means "Artificial Intelligence" for a gigantic number of people around the world (all latin-based languages' speakers, so at least 1.17 billion people), while also meaning "Inefficient Asbestos". Do you have a better suggestion?
