A Gray Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) stopped on the ground to eat an acorn. The rodent uses its forepaws to hold the food while gnawing. Scatter-hoarding is a primary behavior, burying seeds for later consumption. #Squirrel #Wildlife #Ecology #NaturePhotography #Rodent
