@sundogplanets If they want to put a server farm in orbit, how about at the L4 or L5 Lagrange points for the Earth-Moon system? They'd be in direct sunlight most of the time, reducing the need for batteries. Less impact on telescopes as well.

For Elon's LLM, let's put it at L3 (Earth/Sun system), which would have some real benefits for the rest of us: with the sun in the way, it would be hard to "talk" to it.

I think Elon would put those datacentres up there IF he could, despite consequences. I also think he knows he can't, but need to keep the party going and so... this.

Something like the "Don't kill the earth with your horseshit hobbies" bill. I don't want trump doing anything about anything except marching into prison. Which is also what Elon should do if the people ever have representation again.
