@Em0nM4stodon in my religion (the baha'i faith), our prophet says that this world is like a lotus flower -- while the outermost petals might convince you that it is dying, inside of the core of the flower is a tight spindle of new growth that, when the time is right and the development mature enough, it will flower.
it's an artful way of saying that for as much as the world continues to worsen, it improves in quiet ways. in a time of oppression, we are building new community.

@Em0nM4stodon it is not to dismiss the very real violence and strife people face on a daily basis, now more than ever. but it is wisdom that asks people to look for the ways in which we can improve our world on an interpersonal basis.
that kind of community is the pancreas that freedom hides in, and all of us are doing that work to make the world better every day.

its okay darlingjust cause GLOBALLY things are getting worse doesn't mean YOUR world can't get better
in your community you are valued, you are loved, you are beautiful
spread that love out far and wide and some day its reach will be a huge unimaginable blessing

@Em0nM4stodon the world gets better in a lot of ways.
China used less coal last year. In the EU the energy came more from sun and wind than from fossile fuels.
A lot of people are volunteers and help in their community.
Medical science progresses every day.
Keep your head up and try to make the world a bit better yourself, even if it is in a very small way. -
