        systemctl restart --verbose ... is sooo damn useful.
        It prints the service's logs to your terminal, while it is restarting (or analogously for other actions).
        Introduced recently in systemd v258, if you hadn't heard. I had been looking for this exact feature for years!

            @fugi I hope I will remember this in about 2 years when #Debian 14 will be released.

                    @fugi in a similar manner I recently discovered `systemctl status --failed` to see all failed services, extremely useful if you're not exactly sure where in the dependency chain something went wrong

                      @fugi @zhenech Wait what?! No longer toggling between running systemctl commands and journalctl ones, until you put `journalctl -f` in the background, only to get annoyed moments later because you already forgot about it, and all of a sudden another unrelated process writes tons of logs?! Heresy!

                      @CyrilBrulebois @fugi @zhenech you can always use journalctl -f -u <service>

                        @fugi Oh this is cool. Now I need to break the habit of doing `systemctl restart $service & journalctl -f -u $service`

                          @fugi Something new?

                          systemctl: unrecognized option '--verbose'

                          maybe the systemd is too old 😕
