Felling like crap, pain in the appendix area, but the biggest worry has to be going into a medical facility, where no one will mask and i risk a dangerous infection.

I hope everything will be fine... Stay safe...

And now my GP is on vacation.
That's just great. -

That's just great.I have had weird abdominal pains for almost a week now. It can be harmless and i do not have a fever. Yet. But it can also be the start of something serious.
In "normal" times, if only i knew that people would still be masking at the doctor's office, i would not hesitate for one second to go show this to my GP.
But as it stands it turns into an impossible risk assessment. What if it is indeed a harmless constipation, but i get infected with some other bug–because one-way masking is a risk?

This sounds like something that can be investigated without needing to take off your mask (except for when you need a full colonoscopy).
Wear the best mask that you have (for me, that's probably the 3M Aura).
But I am in the same situation and have often waited out symptoms, because I did not want to go the place with lots of sick people where no one wears a mask (but me).

Yes yes yes, i know that i sound like a broken record. But the absurdity of this situation is just so damn mind boggling. Having to weigh risks against each other, when really you are not trained for this.
I wish other people than those who are chronically ill would start to build pressure to bring back masking in health settings, at the very least.

@ABScientist We should not be put in this situation to begin with. It is absurd. As far as i can tell, it gets urgent when either the pain gets more severe or a fever develops. I would take the risk to go then.
What would suck is if it's something that could have been treated better if caught early. But then again, would it even be caught in these 10 minute time slots that we are awarded these days?
The health system is broken.

Yes, and the weird thing is that they keep on complaining about lack of staff, while they do nothing to keep their staff healthy.

@antiaall3s I finally gave up accommodating my doctor (his anxiety about having to see a respirator, that is) and showed up in my elastomeric. P100 felt safer, at least. Things I'd be looking at: is it on one side, & if so which? Has it moved? Diet changes? (Rhetorical/ web-searchable questions, your health info's personal.)
