I’m all for human-ish names where they are human-acceptable (after all, we have a Bella and a Sansa). But ultra-normie names seem a little strange (if amusing).
We recently met Gordon the cavoodle and now a guest is staying with David the border collie.

@trib Abigail Tabitha reporting in.
The pound thought she was an Abyssinian for some reason (she's a standard issue Canberra tabby/ragdoll/raccoon/alien) and were calling her "the Aby girl" so when I adopted her she became the Abby Tabby.
