@Remittancegirl @ilumium When you have >500k undocumented immigrants working or looking for a job (even a low paying one) in an economy that desperately needs workers -- mostly for low paying jobs, but anyway -- giving them papers means more people paying taxes, more people paying social security, less incentive for black economy.

I live in a very working class barrio with a lot of social housing and I have always been so happy at how welcoming and inclusive it is.

FWIW - immigrants to Spain from the USA were very rare until recently. For some reason, lately I meet more and more of them.
