"tainted", "corrupted" etc are common terms for queer people to reclaim for a reason. to use them as self-identity is to oppose the belief system that uses them to oppress us
and make no mistake, an exclusion ritual of any kind is a means that becomes an end. it cannot be a tool to fight for justice because its nature is unjust

purity narratives rely on the belief that to be pure is a thing, and that after even the tiniest deviation from purity, it can never be returned to
we encourage everyone to work to identify that belief in themselves, in all the various ways it has worked its way in to everyone (we are no exception)
and uproot it
